Hints and Tips
Completing the application form:
- Answer all the questions – this sounds obvious but can be easily overlooked in a hurry
- Answer the question that is asked and not the question you wish had been asked!
- Make sure your spelling and grammar are correct, as errors will reflect badly.
- Treat the application as an opportunity to sell yourself, so take care to answer all questions as fully as possible.
- Use a variety of experiences from academic, sporting and other areas of your life to show how you have demonstrated these competencies.
Here’s some useful advice to bear in mind if you’re attending an interview:
- Be punctual and well presented. If you are going to be late for any reason, please contact the person interviewing you and let them know. If your interview is over the phone, make sure you’re available at the arranged time and that you’re somewhere comfortable where you can openly answer the questions without distractions
- Prepare! Think about questions you want to ask us and the questions we might want to ask you
- Research the company
- Be aware of what you have put on your application as this will be referred to during the interview
- Smile, give a good strong handshake, don’t be nervous, and make eye contact
