We believe rewarding your contribution is every bit as important as investing in your potential. So you can look forward to a package that will reflect all the hard work you put in:
- Competitive salary dependent on experience
- Six-month salary review with performance related increases during your first few years
- London Weighting Allowance (where applicable)
- 23-25 days’ holiday entitlement
- Option to join a flexible benefits scheme with access to perks such as extra holiday entitlement and medical insurance
- Option to join the Balfour Beatty Pension Fund
- Joining bonus and anniversary payments in some areas
Although your package is important, we believe that other things can make a real difference to your working life too. Below are just some of things we do to help new graduates make the transition from study to work – and make the most of it once they’re here.
Each year the Chairman's Graduate Prize recognises and rewards graduate innovation and creativity. Known as 'The Big Idea', the scheme has a cash prize of £1,500, with £500 for two runners-up.
Usually held in March, the Group Graduate Conference is attended by all UK graduates in their first year with the Group. As well as giving you the chance to meet other graduates, it aims to give you a full understanding of our activities, successes and huge range of career opportunities. There’s also a short training module on The Business Environment, followed up in Autumn with a meeting in London hosted by a member of the Group Executive Committee.
Containing contact details, personal highlights and advice, the annual graduate yearbook is a useful networking tool in meeting others from your intake.
