Throughout the selection process you are given the opportunity to find out as much information as you can about us so that you can make an informed decision as to whether Balfour Beatty Rail is the right company for you.
We want our relationship with you to be a positive one from the start, and if you prove to be the right candidate, a lasting one.
The selection process involves a number of different stages:
- The first step is to complete the on-line application form here:

Within 24 hours of submitting your application you will receive an e-mail confirming that it has been received

Your application will then be reviewed by a member of the Graduate Recruitment Team and you will be contacted within 28 days informing you of the outcome of their decision.

The next stage is then either a face-face or telephone interview, this will be fairly short and informal and allow us to find out more details about you, the skills you possess and your personal qualities.

If you have a successful interview you will be invited to an assessment centre which will involve a company presentation, a group exercise, technical and behavioural interview and psychometric tests.

You will be informed of our decision within 2 weeks.
If you are successful in joining one of the Balfour Beatty Rail Ltd Graduate Schemes, then the relationship begins form the moment you are given the good news! A member of the Graduate Recruitment Team will contact you in person. This will then be followed up by your contract and offer, upon receiving this you will have a further 2 weeks to respond. By this point in the selection process we have decided that you are the right person for us, hopefully you have decided that we are the right company for you.
