 Balfour Beatty Rail Track Systems design and manufacture special track work products both for the UK and International markets. Our key business is the manufacture of switches and crossings for the railway industry. We design, forge, machine, and assemble the switches and crossings that are then installed on track. Our Bathgate Foundry is a world leading producer of cast manganese steel trackwork and other items, regularly exporting products to the USA and Hong Kong, as well as supplying the UK market. About Us
We have approximately 650 employees across the organisation, with a varied range of skills and occupations. Being primarily a manufacturing business, many of our roles are for a variety of operative positions located within the machine shops, assembly yards or our foundries. We are proud to operate without using a production line as all our manufactured parts are designed and engineered individually to fit our customer’s needs.
