Our Business

Balfour Beatty Rail Infrastructure Services is one of the UK's largest track renewals organisations, providing renewals services for almost a third of the UK's rail infrastructure.

We provide a complete renewals service from formation through to complete relaying of plain line and switches and crossings work, and we have extensive experience of busy commuter routes, main line routes, mixed freight routes and several of the most important routes into London.

About us

We currently have approximately 950 employees, with a wide range of skills, experience and duties.

Our experience covers a wide range of permanent way renewals from formation through to re-ballasting and complete relaying of plain line and S&C work to re-sleepering, re-railing, drainage, cess works and earth works.

Our in-house expertise covers the management of the complete work package from specification, survey, design, planning and setting out to execution and handback to client at line speed. We have very close links with our sister companies within the Balfour Beatty Rail group.

Types of Roles

We offer a range of roles, including graduate positions, relayers, trackmen, technical posts, project management posts, signalling and engineering.

We are proud to invest a great deal of training in our employees in order for them to progress in their careers, either in-house or sponsored externally.
